Okay, so i’ve started to notice that the whole fringe detailing has started to pick up in popularity…
It started, well it started for me when I saw the Louboutin sandals…
These are incredible! The simple design and the fringe detail are just stunning! But yea, back to the main point, fringe. This is where I first began to notice that the fashion for footwear fringe began. Perhaps because of the revolution in wearing flat shoes? Could this be a way to add something special to a flat shoe???
Moving on, there is more than one way to add some fringe to your footwear; how about this special little number from Guiseppe Zanotti…
I give you, the fringe platform trainer! Think grunge pocahontas; the movement in the fringe as you walk will be incredible, and the stud detailing with the buckles is right on trend for this season. A concealed wedge is also your best friend; you can give off the impression that you’re wearing just a normal pair of high top trainers, but you’ve somehow managed to get incredible legs at the same time?!! Magic!
Now these look good; it’s no secret that I have more than a little soft spot for Mr Kors, and these re-affirm my love. The simple barely there sandal shape has been given an uplift with the multi-strand ankle strap and the side fringe detailing is beautiful. There is something so simple about these shoes; the camel colour is perfect for the autumn season, the sandal shape allows you to continue the summer vibes and the suede is a classic material! What’s not to love?!
And for something more retro, the classic flat loafers with the tassel detailing. I can remember these being popular when I was in nursery; the shape and tassel detailing is something that is trustworthy and classic, it’s not surprising that that has made a resurgence in popularity. These shoes allow you to have the comfort of flat shoes combined with the fringe/ tassel detailing that is right on trend, particularly is combined with sharp tailoring. Outstanding!!
